Low pressure (two centres of 980mb) lies close to western Scandinavia,
with another low (995mb) in the Atlantic. High pressure (1035mb) lies
close to northwestern Spain, and ridges north towards another high
(1025mb) over Greenland. Winds across the country are fresh
northwesterlies in many areas. Most areas will see sunshine and
showers at times, perhaps wintry in the north. Temperatures will be
close to normal. Beyond this conditions turn milder again and remain
very unsettled.

Low pressure (981mb) lies close to the northwest of the UK. Another
low (997mb) lies out in the Atlantic. High pressure (1031mb) lies
towards the Azores, with another high (1030mb) over Greenland. Winds
across the country are mainly moderate to fresh west/southwesterlies.
Many areas will see rain or showers at times. Temperatures will be
close to or just above normal in many areas.

Summary:
A brief cooler spell seems likely as we head towards the end of the
week/start of the weekend, but this looks like being shortlived as
milder air with unsettled conditions sweep in from off the Atlantic
again by next week.
