Anyone see Ceefax weather P 403. Talk of strong north winds and snow. I did
not take it too seriously. It is hard to do that at the moment. No one has mentioned this at all. It is not on Darren's runs either. -- ************************************************** ************************** ************************************************** * Gavin Staples. website updated regularly www.gavinstaples.com For the latest lecture in the Darwin Lecture Series in Cambridge, please click on my site, and then click on the Darwin Lecture series link. I did question on the 29th January whether something like this was likely for this weekend: Under the heading "Post Mortems (and Next Saturday?) I said: "Looking beyond the imminent return of more "normal" winter weather, I'm no expert, but doesn't next Saturday's chart (7th Feb) look interesting? see: http://www.wetterzentrale.de/pics/avnpanel1.html "I appreciate that it's a long way off in forecasting terms, but we maybe shouldn't write the winter off yet?" - Tom Blackmore, SW Essex. |

It's been well signalled on the charts, http://www.metbrief.com/EGRR.html also have a flick through the GFS for Saturday and Sunday, http://expert.weatheronline.co.uk/rart_frame.htm Quite a week all things considered. Just need the 1000-850mb thickness fx and would be perfect. -----= Posted via Newsfeeds.Com, Uncensored Usenet News =----- http://www.newsfeeds.com - The #1 Newsgroup Service in the World! -----== Over 100,000 Newsgroups - 19 Different Servers! =----- |

The rest is fairly self-explanatory. Amongst many other things you can get 1000-850mb thickness progs based on the GFS model. Norman. -- Norman Lynagh Weather Consultancy Chalfont St Giles England |
