High pressure (1035mb) lies to the southwest of Britain in the
Atlantic, and ridges in Western Europe. Low pressure (985mb) lies well
out in the Atlantic, with another low (1005mb) close to Greenland
sending a trough down across Western Britain. Winds across the UK are
mostly light and variable in direction. Most areas will be mainly dry,
but with variable amounts of cloud and perhaps a little rain in the
west. Temperatures will be close to or just above normal. Beyond this
conditions are settled with high pressure building in over the UK from
the west.

Low pressure (1010mb) lies to the west of Spain in the Atlantic, with
another low (995mb) to the northeast of Iceland. Winds across the
country are light and variable. Most parts will be mainly dry and
fine, but cloud amounts will vary. 850hpa temperatures range from -5C
in the north to 0C in the southwest. Forecast 2m temperatures range
from +8C in the northeast to +10C in the southwest. Beyond this
conditions are fairly mild, and remain quiet and settled.

with variable amounts of cloud. Temperatures will be close to or just
above normal in many areas.

Summary:
A quiet and settled outlook again generally, with better agreement
tonight on high pressure being located close to Western Britain early
next week, meaning a light northerly airflow for many, but not
particularly cold.
