Low pressure (985mb) lies well out in the Atlantic, with another low (1005mb) close to Greenland sending a trough down across Western Britain. Winds across the UK are mostly light and variable in direction. Most areas will be mainly dry, but with variable amounts of cloud and perhaps a little rain in the west. Temperatures will be close to or just above normal. Beyond this conditions are settled with high pressure building in over the UK from the west. Forecast 2m temperatures range from +8C in the northeast to +10C in the southwest. Beyond this conditions are fairly mild, and remain quiet and settled. Summary: A quiet and settled outlook again generally, with better agreement tonight on high pressure being located close to Western Britain early next week, meaning a light northerly airflow for many, but not particularly cold. |
