Extensive cloud over England and Wales with just a few breaks in northern
England and the north Midlands, and in the extreme SW. Broken cloud in
west and central Scotland and the north and centre of Ireland. Low
Countries also cloudy but the clear skies are not far away over France.

Some outbreaks of rain cross Ireland on Thursday night and a more organised
band of rain moves across Scotland on Friday morning with some rain also in
NW England towards midday. Some rain in NE England during the afternoon
and in the east Midlands and East Anglia in the evening.
