The wife suggested a thread on the lines of the 'I'm sorry I haven't a
clue' prog.

Oh, we are honoured .... it's that well-known TV weatherman with
four old girlfriends in tow ... there's Miss Bitz, that's Fluffy Bitz,
bright'n breezy as always ... just behind her, a vision in grey, is
Miss T Ann Merky ... and there's Miss Dismal, my, my, she does
look gloomy, does dull Ann Dismal ... not so Alicia --
Alicia smiled!

And now, place your hands together, for the famous
medium, Neville Instability ... really dolled up to the nines
tonight ... yes, he is ... he's wearing his Spanish plume and
his sequined cloak, my, that really is a high-valued cape.
Right behind him are his best friends, Al Tocumuluscastellanus
and Anne Ville who turn in our direction to give us a frontal
wave.

Philip Eden

(There's a rude one too, but you'll have to ask for it)

Mr and Mrs Inn-Head and their son Mal.

Unfortunately the invitation to Mr and Mrs Isterre and their daughter
Finn has been withdrawn to avoid any diplomatic incidents.

It does occur to me that anyone who hasn't listened to Radio 4 (or the
World Service), and more generally anyone from anywhere other than the
UK must be wondering what on earth all this is about ... and why the
thread grew so quickly!

There must be a possibility of a meteorological 'Mornington Crescent'
game, but the rules are so fiendish and I can't see how the
Clausius-Clapeyron variation could be employed ..... ;-)

Martin.

Oooh, look! There's the overweight Countess in her dodgy
Nissan which only works occasionally. It's heavy raine and
sunny interludes.

Daughter? The former (and maybe present) photographic editor of Weather
was Storm Dunlop, who's definitely a bloke. I've met him.

Believe it or not, there used to be a girl called "Autumn Forecast" at my
primary school...!

It's off topic, but I can't resist mentioning the name of a girl at my
