There must be a possibility of a meteorological 'Mornington Crescent'
game, but the rules are so fiendish and I can't see how the Clausius-Clapeyron variation could be employed ..... ;-) Martin. Hmmm. Interesting thought - what if you disqualified the Utsire manoeuvre following the Irish Sea crossing? Would it work then? Anne |

I think you would have to invoke the non-reversible thermodynamic rule, but that wasn't introduced into all versions of the game! Martin. |

Martin says...
... I think you would have to invoke the non-reversible thermodynamic rule, but that wasn't introduced into all versions of the game! It was in the UK ('97) version though, so unless you're still playing the old rules, it should count. Kevin |

Hello,
Please welcome Claire Skyes but it's good to see the back of her Auntie, Syclonic-Gloome. And now someone we saw in the Severn valley, earlier this month: Sir Virefludwarning. Right now, though, we need to watch out for Auntie Syclone's relations: Merry D.O.Nal, Sir Cuylation. If they overstay their welcome, we will see the return of Major Drought, Walter Shortages and, maybe even, Jose Pypebann, next summer. What's more, our usual thundering guest can't come – you know, Nymbus. Sorry to be politically incorrect, but Auntie Syclone has become rather large lately, regularly becoming a blocking Auntie Syclone in the doorway. But let's make a quick diversion to the Astronomers' Ball, where Claire Skyes is always very welcome, unlike her sister Cloe Dee Skyes. Zola E. Clypes, Shelly Clypse and their father, Par Shelley Clypse were big there in 1999. Who would forget last year's celebrity guest, Madge Netique-Storms? Then there were all those mums speaking out against plans to ban pushchairs from the ballroom, last summer; yes, lots of Ma's in opposition. Next June, if you go out to the car park, you may even be lucky to catch Venus in a transit. Finally, for anyone familiar with weather stations, Orey's doing a Physics degree. Yes, Orey Gone scientific. I hear she is working with a Ray D.O. Frequency-Sensor. Joan Lee |

I know someone who went to school with someone with the surname Darcy and the initials RC; no prizes fro guessing what he was called by his peers. I have also seen the name House associated with the initial P in a cricket scorebook. Alan |

Robert Bad news tonight. The Meteorologists Ball has had to re locate to ramshackle surroundings. But no matter, look there's the Earl Of Trafalger, chauffeured in a Plymouth by hisYorkshire born driver : "Shall we park by the North 'ut Sire, or by the South'ut sire?" Robert PS : apologies for this.....Just had to do it. |

One for starters: Mr and Mrs Thanitwasyesterday and their dismal daughter, Claudia Thanitwasyesterday Any more? ...and the Batic girls, Anna Batic and Kat A Batic. Anna will take you up the hill but it's straight down again with that cool girl Kat A. Watch out for their father Ade A Batic-always hot under the collar. Have a drink at the Iso Bar with Milli Bar. Watch out for those trouble makers Eddie and GusT. Don't worry about Therm Al - all hot air. Have a chat with Anna Prop - she might have her Welsh mate TAF with her.
