I hear the Ministry Of Defence, next door, are
getting annoyed about the level of noise from the Ball

The rumpus is due to a huge fracas at the bar... Apparently they have

run
out
of Lager and Bitter.

The manager was last seen flying through a window exclaiming, "I told

you...
at least there will be Mild"

Hard to decide but I would nominate that for the best line of the lot

:-))

And waving his magic wand, no its's not Sooty, but Merlin the Wizard! He's
got us all entranced with his spells of warm weather ahead.

Getting back to the Ball. I hear the Ministry Of Defence, next door, are
getting annoyed about the level of noise from the Ball and have been
measuring the decibel levels. . Look out here's a telegram from them : MOD
IRATE TO INCREASING HIGH PRESSURE.

Robert

omg... no, no, no...!!!

Keep him away from the MoD, this is the same guy whose noisy antics caused a
similar incident with the Americans last year.

It led to the Chief of the FBI complaining that "Wayne Drops keeps howling at
my Feds".

Which interestingly enough sounds suspiciously similar to
the headlines in the Melbourne Gazette (Dec 18 2003) :
'Shayne's Drop keeps bowling on edge'
I think you'll find uk.rec.cricket quite informative ref
the above.
