The coldest night of the winter there, so far. Previous coldest nights
were -3.1C (two occasions). Benson was down around -7C, Redhill too earlier in the night before it seemingly froze to death. Sunday's looking interesting for the SE as the flow turn NE'ly, http://imkpc3.physik.uni-karlsruhe.de/pics/brack2a.gif Jon. |

Coldest night of the winter at Guildford too with -4.3c. Snow at a weekend - and during the day ? Surely not, the kids will be able to play with it. Phil Well I'm not sure if the WMO snowman will be making another appearance but the MetO GM was quite favourable and the GFS is looking similar, http://expert.weatheronline.co.uk/cg...22918_2600.gif EC was less enthusiastic for inland areas but we'll treat that as an outlier :-) A fair chance of some snow showers before then too, particularly on the more organised troughs, e.g. http://imkpc3.physik.uni-karlsruhe.de/pics/brack0a.gif Jon. |

In the 1960s, in Surrey we seemed to have heavy snow far more often on a Sunday than on any other day of the week. Just a fluke, I'm sure. -- John Hall "I look upon it, that he who does not mind his belly, will hardly mind anything else." Dr Samuel Johnson (1709-84) |
