Hi
From the charts it looks like the Azores high is making a return next week. My interest in meteorology overlaps nicely with one of my other interests which is sailing and the like. Next Monday or Tuesday I want to shift a smallish boat from the N Wales coast over to the Isle of Man. On board there'll be a couple of non-sailors who don't fancy ten hours or so hanging over the side. The current charts look promising with the north Irish Sea seemingly set for fairly light winds during the period. Any of you real experts out there, compared to my enthusiastic numpty status, like to hazard a guess as to how likely it is that actual conditions next week will bear some resemblance to the current forecast charts please? Promise no-one on this group will be blamed for any incidences of mal-de-mer which may arise during our forthcoming trip. Cheers -- Bill |
