Default Southend EGMC dew point?

I've often felt that the dew point/humidity readings at Southend
Airport are lower than I would expect. Again, it is interesting to
compare the -1c there with other locations in the SE. I wonder how
this is calibrated?

Keith.
We arrived home in Basildon yesterday at around 18.00hrs and it felt
noticebly cool, although the air temperature was regestering 10.1c the
actual relative humidity was reading 51%. Quite dry in my view.
This morning we are back to 98% with intermittent light rain.
Best regards. Len.
