Gorgeous day ... into the low 20s, and a nice little
whizz-bang between 21 and 22Z ... probably the best
I've experienced since Aug '02, also out here. Half a dozen
near-overhead discharges, including the first one, which blew
a house fuse. Rain was heavy for about 40 minutes but
I've seen much heavier ... I'll measure it in the morning.

Shows up well on the 18Z (20 local) radar pic on
www.meteo.fr (then click on the tiny satpic square)
which shows a second cell following. Severe hailstorm
reported in Tarbes/Pau district (far SW of France)
late-afternoon. Doubtless they will still be in evidence
when the radar pic updates shortly after 00Z.

Crude max was 24C, and rainfall (including further rain
overnight) by hand was 14mm.
