low, distant rumbles of thunder heard for past 10 minutes ... wind around Bft 5 (freshened up over past couple of hours). Notable shear from low to middle levels: low level wind from due north, medium level flow (from AC) from due *south*. Horizon from SSW to S to E to NE dark and menacing, but with the murk around, no convective tops discernible.
