Pretty gloomy but dry here. Can hear thunder rumbling away to the South -
John any at Cranleigh ? Rainfall remains at 4.1mm from this morning. Didnt realise how sunny the SE has been today! Cloudy throughout in the Heathrow area. Max only 12.6c today so well down on recently. Severe disruption at Heathrow yesterday with 12 diversions out and lengthy air holding. Interesting on the 18z EU map seeing the TS moving E across the Low Countries against an Ely wind. Phil -- http://homepage.ntlworld.com/phil.layton/meteo.htm |

It seems to have been just to the south and south-east of us, but pretty close - 2-3 miles away at a guess. At one point, coincident with a flash of lightning the power went off but came back on after about a second. I assume that something on the distribution network must have been hit. Pretty grey here too, though there was a little weak sunshine for a brief time this morning. -- John Hall "If a man will begin with certainties, he shall end in doubts; but if he will be content to begin with doubts, he shall end in certainties."
