Brussels on Wednesday 28 April

Observations from my workplace in the EU Council building a couple of miles
east of the centre of Brussels. Times local.

Cloudy at first with a light shower but soon brighter. Quite sunny for
much of the morning but cloud built again towards midday. Overcast by
early afternoon - rumble of thunder and brief shower around 14.30.
Sporadic rain - heavy for a short time - 15.30 to 16.30 with several rumbles
of thunder but I saw no lightning. Dull and humid evening - further brief
shower 18.45. Warm by early afternoon. Light wind from between NE and SE
but variable near the storm.

Afternoon storm obviously much more intense at Brussels Airport - 15 mm rain
and hail reported there.

Brussels Uccle 21.1°C - overnight minimum 12.2°C - and 2 mm rain.
Brussels Airport 20.7°C - overnight minimum 11.5°C - and 15 mm.
