I've just looked at the DWD unplotted noon chart for Europe and see against
Clones, just across the border in Co.Monaghan, the symbol for a recent snow shower. With such severe convection as is occurring today, I guess the wet bulb melting level could have been pushed well down towards the surface temporarily. Has anyone got access to the ROI synops or equivalent to back up this observation? -- Mike 55.13°N 6.69°W Coleraine posted to uk.sci.weather 04/05/2004 14:25:28 UTC |
