15:11 noticed *dark* clouds out of the office window. Hopped in the car - very
light shower - 5 miles away the road was awash with drains overflowing and
complete width of carriageway flooded. Saw three flashes of lightning heard a
few more rumbles of thunder. All over in a few minutes.

Cheers.

Should have taken the bike for that "up close and personal" experience

LOL.

Poor kid having left Scarning school was walking along the footpath adjacent to
the flooded road. Car in front of me seemed not to have the brain-power to
understand that if you drive fast through a flood, you cause a large splash off
to the side of the vehicle. He absolutely drenched this kid, as the splash from
the car was bigger than said kid :-(

As it is, I may well get rained on this evening - as I'm cycling at
Ketteringham... so if you fancy a larf at the denched, pathetic excuse for a
cyclist - pop along. Off spring is cycling and spouse will be marshalling a
corner.

Cheers.
