Default WV vortices

http://www.sat.dundee.ac.uk/pdus/BW/

pretty series of vortices spun up over the weekend -Iceland to SW England.
This is an example of probable barotropic instability nr the tropopause-somebody was asking a while
ago.
Seem to be on rather smaller scale than usual tho,
