Good evening everyone.
My part of Athens experienced a Foehn effect last night with dew point and temperature dropping and rising very rapidly indeed within seconds as winds were veering from easterlies to southeasterlies -but remained generally light. 092100C: 20/11 092200C: 23/03 Yesterday's cloudiness gave way to deep blue skies and temperature reached +27.1C for the first time this year. It was feeling rather hot downtown even in a t-shirt, but i still couldn't believe the 27C reading i saw at an electronic thermometer; until i saw my own station's maximum temperature reading when I returned home. All the best, Yannis, SE Athens +19.6C, RH 38%, SLP 1007.8 hPa http://dias.aueb.gr/~ikarag/2004/may.html |
