Default Brussels sunnier and warmer

Colin,

I was in Brussels this week and was surprised by how cold it felt on
Wednesday evening when I was walking in the centre of the city. The wind was
quite stiff (I guess it was coming in from the North Sea) with a developing
layer of Stratocumulus . A complete transformation on Friday !!

Yes - I noticed the chilly NW wind on Wednesday evening as I walked home
from work. As you say, the stratocumulus rolled in after some sunshine in
the late afternoon. 14.6°C maximum on Wednesday and only 12.3°C on
Thursday when it stayed dull all day. 16.5°C on Friday in the sunshine and
already 17°C and quite sunny this morning now that the wind is away from the
NW http://weather.noaa.gov/weather/current/EBBR.html .

I hope you enjoyed your stay - you should have dropped in for a drink !
