My first today.

Block on scalp...sad
Dog cooled in brook
Pub had "Summer lightning" for the first time this year, a wonderful pale

We haven't been able to open windows since January. We've had at least one
wasp per day in the house since early Feb.

I have NEVER known wasps around B4 July. These are ALL Queens, really weird.

Quite a few queens have been disposed of in my little bit of heaven on earth
already this year.

Cheers.

Yeah, well I was stung by a Bee yesterday afternoon; £20 for a jar of Honey!
Next time I'll try Tescos (their jokes are up todate as well)

£20 a Jar!! I wish. You should buy some of mine in Devon (not that I've much
left to sell) - £5 would be bliss. Looks like a good sping honey season atm
though, weather spot on for the holly

Wasps. They mind their own business, the feed on insect pests.... they get
killed. Still, I suppose they're not in danger of dying out. But I would
plead that we leave hornets be, they're quite too, but, I suppose because of
their size, feared and persecuted. They probably do need friends, despite
being the gentle giants that they are.
