![]() Whatever the figures this will be a hot one. Philip Eden is going for 2C above the CET normal. I have just checked up the normal, that is 1971 to 2000, and that is 16.2C. Stick 2C on that, and you get one of the 4 hottest Augusts of the past 100 years. Seems like we are already off to a good start. -- ************************************************** ************************** ************************************************** * Gavin Staples. website updated regularly www.gavinstaples.com For the latest news on the UK heatwave, click on my URL, and then click on weather forecast. What were the CETs for the Augusts of 1975, 1976 and 1997 (all of which i
believe were amongst the warmest over the last 30 years)? Perhaps 1983 is in there too? Jim. "Gavin Staples" wrote in message ... Whatever the figures this will be a hot one. Perhaps 1983 is in there too? 1975 = 18.7C 1976 = 17.6C 1997 = 18.9C And in addition 1990 = 18C, 1995 = 19.2C As I said before, I'm going for a CET between 17.5C and 18C for this August. Victor |
