Aaaah. Air conditioning.

What would we/you do without it :s

Yannis, from an Athens that seems likely to be cooler than most of England
next week :-)

Agreed. :-(((

Fascinating!

When snow and ice is forecast, many here welcome such forecasts with
glee, despite the disruption, accidents and severe discomfort and danger
for the elderly that will happen because of it! Why not do the same for
sun and heat?

well I'm excited.

I won't enjoy it much physically but I love records. My data is only back to
Oct 96 and I am hoping I thrash my previous 31.9

Good chance, 33 predicted here. Apparently it was 36.4 in 1990

Joe, Bedford.

Dumbed down tripe is mostly what you get these days. Maybe they're
trying to brainwash us?

Well I for one always welcome the prospect of hot weather. I am just about
to head off to our seaside cottage for a couple of weeks and I would vote
for unbroken sunshine and daytime temperatures over 25ºC, with spectacular
thunderstorms each night as soon as it's dark enough, but not long enough to
prevent a good night's sleep.
