![]() Yes, all the way down to 0 m a.s.l! Maybe only 1-2 cm. But there are now still small patches on the lawn in places. At 200 m and above the field is almost all white. It was still snowing at 12:30 p.m., but not settling. In a valley I drove up to a higher pass to look at the weather the road was not passable, because of too much snow, and I had to turn back at about 260 m a.s.l. This is the first time in maybe about 30 years I have experienced something like this in mid/late May. (There was an incident ~15 years back when I didn't live here.) Btw, it seems to get worse the coming evening and night, so I wonder how this will end? Regards, Bjørn Sørheim, Norway at 62 deg. Yes I did hear the NRK P1 forecast last night (clear on MW here) and was surprised to hear such a great mention of snø! Adrian -- Adrian Shaw ais@ Adran Cyfrifiadureg, Prifysgol Cymru, aber. It was actually forecast for Northern Scotland if I remember correctly on the Countryfile five day prognostication. If we get frosty nights I'd say it was almost spot on. Not that bad a forecast considering. I remember working on a police radio mast in the hills of Wales some 20 plus years back and it snowed in June or late May. I don't remember nice weather with it though. -- Posted via Mailgate.ORG Server - http://www.Mailgate.ORG |

Unless I'm seeing things, it's snowing right now in the Cairngorms! http://www.cairngormmountain.com/webcams.htm I was fortunate enough to experience some snow in the Scottish mountains a couple of weeks ago when I went up there...
