A pleasant month, in my opinion, with warm, sunny days and little
rainfall. It has been the third driest May (after 1981 and 1991) in the
area since my records began in 1970.

I have been contacted by the local newspaper about a tornado
photographed from Ovington in Teesdale Sunday 30th. I'm looking into the
reports and will post when I find out more. The picture will be in the
local Teesdale Mercury on Wednesday!
