What a huge contrast between today's wonderful June weather and the same
period in June 1944. I have been watching a lot of the D-Day events on TV and could not help feeling quite emotional by it. I do feel though that the excellent weather of today has made the commemoration ceremonies so much nicer for all those who took part in it. Let us not forget though what they all had to go through in 1944.
