Further to Martin Rowley's fact sheet:

My mini set of charts here at home are the extremes for 1951-1980
which indicate the following extreme max for the period:

July: 570dam contour approx Pembroke to the Humber
and the 576dam contour south of Brittany and eastnortheast to the north
of Paris

Aug: 570dam approx Donegal to Belfast to north of Derbyshire
and then ENE'ds to the north of Denmark
with the 576dam contour Brest to approx 49N 0W, 50N 5E , 51N 10E.

It is likely that the extremes for the period since 1980 will indicate
even higher thicknesses further north.
