George. Good to hear from you. I notice you display your height above sea
level. where Can I find out the ASL height for Basildon? Regards. Len. "George Booth" wrote in message ... "Len Watts" wrote in message ... Current shade temperature here in Basildon now registering 29.3 C ..... exactly the same here Len. A couple of degrees ahead of yesterday so 31°C possible ..although the sea-breeze will no doubt set in mid-afternoon. All the best -- George in Epping, West Essex (107m asl) www.eppingweather.co.uk |

If you go to the Ordnance Survey website http://www.ordsvy.gov.uk/ and then look for the 'Free and Fun' section on the RHS that will enable you to find a map of your area at 1:25000 with a 5 metre contour interval. (Beware that some of the other mapping programmes simply enlarge the 1:50000 map which has a 10metre contour interval). Once you have located your abode on the map you can work out the height asl by interpolation of the contours and spot heights.
