First chance I've had to look at the news today and can't find any comments
about the Thunder in the North East last night...? First rumble at 18:40 and about 10 or so in the following half hour... Oh yes, as a side line. It's been quite wet hereabouts since Tuesday night ![]() -- Nick in Northallerton Also nickw7coc on both Yahoo Messenger & on MSN Messenger And http://www.whelan.me.uk |

I've never quite seen such a miserable 24 hours our so weatherwise in years. I'm off for a wander to see if the burn at the bottom of the hil has flooded yet. |

I'm off for a wander to see if the burn at the bottom of the hil has flooded yet. Interesting and more accurate regional rainfall gauge than the conventional. Used in conjunction with each other they might be used to compare water run off with the good old days before global warming and land drainage added hock. -- Posted via Mailgate.ORG Server - http://www.Mailgate.ORG |

Hi, Nick, Thunder and lightning 1615Z - 1630Z in Copley yesterday, but no rain. 21mm fell during the night, but Tuesday and Wednesday were good days here. 11hr sun Tuesday and 19C max yesterday - almost the warmest in UK!! Different story today though with a shift in wind direction and North Sea influence, just 10C max but highest gust only 34mph. Today's rain less than 1mm. I understand it's been a bit wet and windy in some parts ;0) ATB, -- Ken Cook, Copley (5miles north of Barnard Castle), County Durham. 830ft http://mysite.freeserve.com/copley (MO climat. site updated before 10Z and 19Z daily) kencookATcopleydurham.freeserve.co.uk (All times GMT) --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
