Default Becoming v. warm for N. Finland & N. Norway?

I notice several charts on
http://www.wetterzentrale.de/topkarten/fsfaxbra.html have 64 dam air
coming in from the ESE into N. Finland and Norway, at around 70 degrees
north, this coming weekend.

IIRC, not many days ago they had 528 air over them.

I know that temps of 30C or so aren't that uncommon there in mid-summer
but must make for a pretty up-and-down sort of climate.

64 dam? Now that's cold, mean temp about -242°C. Seriously, the 564+ air
has been over North-West Russia for a day or two, and it's been up to 30°C in
Archangel'sk today. It's unusual, but by no means freakish, and, as you say,
the temperatures can be very up-and-down in that part of the world. I think
the year-to-year variability is also large, making the mean monthly temperature
less meaningful than it might appear.
