Default [WR] TS Blackmore, SW Essex 15.15 hrs

Quite a lively TS here at 15.15 hrs, centred just south of us, now
rumbling away to the east (16.00 hrs).

Seemed to build as it got near, as the first thunder was loud and quite
close. At peak, 1-2 strikes per minute. Good C-G but difficult to tell
as strong light slanting in from the west during much of the storm. Not
much rain here, but looked to be quite a bit further south.

Interesting Tom,

I spoke to a friend on the phone who was working in South Hill,
Langdon Hills (nr Basildon) around 3.30pm. He said 20-minute heavy
hail shower had left a 1cm covering all around. He exclaimed that he'd
'never seen anything like it'.

I'd be interested to hear what Dave C (or S) reported the other side
of the hill...

Cheers,

Scott
