Forgive this intrusion by a very occasional poster.

This is the gist of a post made to uk.people.silversurfers earlier today
of which you may not be aware. Mike is a much respected poster to that
group.

begins
On Tuesday afternoon, Wendy, Mike Tullett's wife, was killed in a car
crash. He had waved her off in the morning, spoken to her at lunchtime
and then again just before she left her meeting in Belfast to make the
return journey. Just a few miles from home, she was involved in a
head-on collision. A small comfort is that it would have been instant.
He is together with his family and Wendy will be buried on Saturday at
noon.

Mike is a very private person but has asked me to let you all know.
Obviously he won't be posting for some time and therefore, replies won't
be seen. Out of respect, any personal messages can be sent to me, by
email and I will pass them on when he feels able to read them. Please
use cloudyDOTone@ntlworldDOTcom. I'll not be posting any further details
but will read replies.

You know that is so so strange. A couple of days ago I was worried for Mike
as I hadn't seen him post recently. I was actually going mention it when I
saw his post on
"Crepuscular Rays in clean air" on the 28th june that I thought 'oh that's
okay Mike's fine'! Yet I had this nagging feeling things were'nt well. That
made me think of other names I hadn't seen like Paul Bartlet. I remember
posting a couple of years back on this morbid subject on the death off
regular contributors. How would we know? Would wifes ,children and friends
even know where to post?
In this case thankfully some one was able to tell us off if not him but his
wife's tragic accident.

What I said about this concern I had for Mike a couple off days ago is the
absolute truth, and I feel stunned by this news, due to that anxiety I
experienced around Mike and of cours the fact that someone had lost a very
dear loved one.

I think it behoves us all to leave instructions for our nearest and dearest on
what to do when we die. This can be made part of a last will and testament.

Cheers,

Will.
