Widespread showers and outbreaks of rain in Northern Ireland, SW Scotland
and NW England on Friday night. Rain in southern Scotland and northern
England on Saturday morning gradually breaks up into showers which affect
the whole country by midday - although still just scattered in southern
England and Wales. Prolonged showers - some heavy with thunder - become
concentrated in eastern Scotland and NE England in the afternoon.
