Regional Radar would suggest that if "Wimbledon" was 15 miles or so further
south, then no play would be taking place at all, given that at present
Wimbledon is right on the very edge of the rain area.

Charming! Here in Warlingham, about 10 miles southeast of Wimbledon, it
has been very marginal. The northern edge of the frontal cloud was visible at
all times and there was occasional very light rain in the early afternoon but
later the sky became clear except for a few patches of light Sc. Maybe a
fairly low minimum tonight.

Does Wimbledon have its own radar or do the authorities there have access to
real time local radar? The BBC had resident forecasters for advice this year
which seemed like a good idea. Most of the time though they just chatted to
Sue Barker as if they knew little more than anyone else - especially John
Hammond who presents his forecasts with great drama but hardly any reference
to synoptic charts.
