Default Max only 20.4°C here since 16th June !

July has opened up really poorly, with temps averaging 2°C below normal. Max
temp here in Ferryhill since 16th June is only 20.4°C.
It has rained on all but two days since then. Are you guys down south
suffering as badly as us?

PS. those in the North East of the country might like to take a look at The
North East Forum for local weather discussions too.
There are already 140+ members, including Ken Cook and Paul (Aycliffe).

It's a similar story here in Bournemouth too, Dave.

Apart from a 30 minute spell on the 29th June (when the temp rose just above
the 70f mark) June 16th was the last day we exceeded that mark.
It's probably not been quite so wet down here though, we seem to keep
missing the worst of the downpours.

Jim, Bournemouth

22.2C has been my highest since 16/6.

Apart from one day where a vigorous low went straight over, I've
recorded surprisingly little rain.

Yesterday we had a moderate shower with 1.7mm, and a T/storm went by
about 6 miles to the north.

Recorded a max of 23.0C here in Worcester since the 16th of June, which is
unusually cool for nearly 3 weeks of 'summer'.

Apart from a day of rain on the 26th, the weather has been generally dry,
sunny with a few light showers and that annoying cold wind making it
decidedly chilly, especially in the evening.

Nick.

Almost makes me wish for some hot weather, since then we might at least
have some decent rain from a following thundery breakdown...

For me, there's no such thing as 'too chilly' in summer.
