July has opened up really poorly, with temps averaging 2°C below normal. Max
temp here in Ferryhill since 16th June is only 20.4°C. It has rained on all but two days since then. Are you guys down south suffering as badly as us? PS. those in the North East of the country might like to take a look at The North East Forum for local weather discussions too. It's a similar story here in Bournemouth too, Dave.
Apart from a 30 minute spell on the 29th June (when the temp rose just above the 70f mark) June 16th was the last day we exceeded that mark. It's probably not been quite so wet down here though, we seem to keep missing the worst of the downpours. Jim, Bournemouth "Dave" wrote in message ... Yesterday we had a moderate shower with 1.7mm, and a T/storm went by about 6 miles to the north. -- Paul Hyett, Cheltenham |

Recorded a max of 23.0C here in Worcester since the 16th of June, which is
unusually cool for nearly 3 weeks of 'summer'. Apart from a day of rain on the 26th, the weather has been generally dry, sunny with a few light showers and that annoying cold wind making it decidedly chilly, especially in the evening. Nick. For me, there's no such thing as 'too chilly' in summer. -- Paul Hyett, Cheltenham |
