......keep your heads down in the SE on Wednesday. Is this what is called a
spanish plume event? Just guessing, low over spain at the mo expected to
deepen and bring stormy conditions with it......

Looking forward to it! )

Oh, one other thing, at 17:00 BST in mid Sussex I drove through a few of the
largest raindrops i've ever seen. No trees, no power lines, but the drops
hitting the windscreen were enormous! Each splat broke into about 20 normal
drops on impact. Very impressive! Sparse, well spaced but HUGE! Anyone else
notice them?

I've no idea what a Spanish Plume is but if the Shipping Broadcast has
an high slated for the sea areas Biscay or Trafalgar (oOr whatever they
call them these more politically correct days) we tend to et bad weather
here.

As it happens Monday ranked with the fiest weather we have had this
summer here. That doesn't mean the forecasters were wrong. They have had
bad weather elsewhere. Interesting clauses could be written to make this
bit of weather lore more acceptable to the establishment/impedimentia.

Meant to add that the early morning forecasts are warning about a deep
low in the Channel. I've been turning the computer off and unplugging
cables this last few days. It never hurts to be cautious with computers
and thunder.

Apparently a woman rang the BBC yesterday to say there was a
hurricane on the way. Don't worry, there *isn't*.........
