This is the gist of a post made to uk.people.silversurfers earlier
today of which you may not be aware. Mike is a much respected poster
to that group.

On Tuesday afternoon, Wendy, Mike Tullett's wife, was killed in a car
crash. He had waved her off in the morning, spoken to her at lunchtime
and then again just before she left her meeting in Belfast to make the
return journey. Just a few miles from home, she was involved in a
head-on collision. A small comfort is that it would have been instant.
He is together with his family and Wendy will be buried on Saturday at
noon.

Mike is a very private person but has asked me to let you all know.
Obviously he won't be posting for some time and therefore, replies
won't be seen. Out of respect, any personal messages can be sent to
me, by email and I will pass them on when he feels able to read them.

I've lurked and posted here occasionally - I don't know Mike and his family, but his recent post was extremely moving and I wanted to add my condolences.
