I realize this thread will probably get swamped by reports of the storm, but
I'll give it a try anyway...

I'm looking for a website that provides the maximum temperatures reached
anywhere in Spain throughout June this year. Specifically, I'd like to know
the highest temperature recorded on June 24 2004. Any help would be much
appreciated.

.... have you tried Keith's site at:-

Choose:
1. Worldwide Reports
2. Click on the drop-down for 'Europe-UK'
3. Select the date required. Wait for page to load.
4. Scroll down to Block 08 (that containing Spanish observations): the
column under 'Max' will give you the highest temperature reported from
the SYNOP network at 18 GMT (not necessarily complete answer, but a good
tilt at same.)
