People keep talking about the weather, that its a plume, or possibly a
Spanish plume. I am guessing that it two strong weather systems colliding, so I had a look for more understanding on BBC weather but that didn't tell me about plumes though it did point out that visibility is very good. Which it is .... see the thread "Wednesday's low - development underway" which will give you a good insight into the dynamics ... if there are any terms not understood, try the FAQ/Glossary index: http://homepage.ntlworld.com/booty.weather/uswfaqfr.htm or come back to us. This development in quite dramatic for this time of year ... not quite the usual 'Spanish Plume' that you will see talked about - the dynamic forcing (jetstreaks etc.) that Paul discusses is really giving us a classic!
