Default So far....

The forecast as I understood it was for the worst of the wind and rain
to arrive this evening.

So far:

Ten-foot branch off willow tree opposite.

Half the top of a plane tree dropped onto Fiesta along Catteshall Lane,
in Godalming.

Cut back our vine to prevent the down-pipe being ripped from the wall.
Ladder blew over.

Part of shed blown off.

Sundry debris been blown about.

It has at 1520 started to rain in earnest.

I am due to attend a seminar at Charterhouse, a couple of miles away,
later this afternoon.

Car or foot, polite attire or hiking gear?

Top hat and tails at Charterhouse isn't it?

Always makes me laugh when I go there (training on the track) - Loads of old
gits standing around drinking champagne watching their kids play cricket,
discussing how much each other is worth. "Oh I say old boy, did I tell you
about that deal I struck the other day..". Spare me, please.

Gives me something to chuckle about and relieves the pain of an oxygen
deprived interval session.
