Seeing Mr Roeders name popping up on the group reminds me of how awry his
forecasts have been this year,
This surely proves there is no such thing as a reliable LRF,all the
'experts' have their day ,or even occasionally 'year then it goes pear
shaped.
If the Global Warming brigade are to be believed all the old rules no longer
apply anyway so there seems little point in trying

May I remind you that I, a senior member of the Global Warming bigade,
predicted a cold and wet summer last springcheers. Global Warming is not a
monotonic process, and the fundamental cycles such as the Quasibiennial
Oscilation (QBO) will still apply in a greenhouse world.

Cheers, Alastair.

Here it is :-(

All I claimed was a wet summer. I think the secret of a good long term
forecast is to keep it vauge :-)

Cheers, Alastair.

Hello All

It has been raining here in Wolverhampton, since Monday evening, and with
the forecast for next week, being even more rain.

Does anyone think that this year will be like year 2000, where if I

remember
correctly, we didn't have a summer, it just rained, and rained and rained

!

Joe

Yes I do. There is a thing called the Quasi Biennial Oscilation (QBO) which
could mean that 2000, 2002, and 2004 are all years with wet summers.
Anyway it seems reasonable to get a hot summer followed by a wet
summer.

Cheers, Alastair.
