Mostly dull day and now cloudy afternoon with light rain. Could someone ask
Rob Mackilwee to remove his 100% sunshine symbol from my area and stop going
on about a beautiful sunny afternoon. Try looking at the radar Rob - London
area?!

Same here, Dave, but the rain's coming down in larger spots now. Lovely
coppery tint to the Cu visible through the haze to the SSW. My other half
in Ilford (about 12 miles west of me here ) has just said that it's been
raining heavily but now the sun's come out.

Possibly something more substantial is building around here - it certainly
has a thundery feel about it.

Dull, misty and cool here in Warden Bay, but 9 miles away in Sheerness it's
baking, not 100% blue skies but very warm with sunny spells.

Cbs visible here in Central Essex.

Nothing electrical - but medium intensity rain.

Mark.

In Romford in the afternoon of
Tuesday 20 July that rain culminated in
a very heavy burst.

Just after it finished,
here is the official "gor-blimey"
picture with the default built-in level of
Romford sophistication:
