The Maximum today in Basildon didn't quite make yesterdays total of 29.6C
and only came in at 29.2C
after an overnight minimum of 16.8C
Mostly due to a fairly strong Easterly breeze and cloudier skies this
afternoon. Precipitation is in sight but does not appear to be making it to
ground level.
Rather a disapointment after all the hype and I don't really hold out too
much hope of any records being broken here tomorrow either.

One notable thing tomorrow partially for Essex and East Anglia will be the
wind direction from the South-West.

The past few days the temps have been knocked back quite a bit by the
afternoon sea breezes but tomorrow the heat will build and spread nicely to
the Home Counties.

Looking at 35-37C for Essex/East Anglia they just said on News 24.
