The Maximum today in Basildon didn't quite make yesterdays total of 29.6C
and only came in at 29.2C after an overnight minimum of 16.8C Mostly due to a fairly strong Easterly breeze and cloudier skies this afternoon. Precipitation is in sight but does not appear to be making it to ground level. Rather a disapointment after all the hype and I don't really hold out too much hope of any records being broken here tomorrow either. Regards. Len. |

One notable thing tomorrow partially for Essex and East Anglia will be the
wind direction from the South-West. The past few days the temps have been knocked back quite a bit by the afternoon sea breezes but tomorrow the heat will build and spread nicely to the Home Counties. Looking at 35-37C for Essex/East Anglia they just said on News 24. Tom |
