The local papers are reporting that Saturday's incredible storms here were
'the worst for a generation'. Over four inches of rain fell in four hours and there was a five minute bombardment of hailstones - the size of 10p pieces - which did a lot of damage to cars and property. there was a brief covering of hailstones on all surfaces - in July!
