Default West Sussex Dust Devil?? Who Knows?

Well... this might be a complete joke to the anal crew in this newsgroup
that insist on the weather conforming to their preset requirements,
BUT,,,,,, Today we had what I can only describe as a Dust Devil here in
little olde West Sussex.

Out behind our gaff is a huge farming area, during today's heat we had a big
wind thing, suddenly my mother noticed this gentle moving mass of air of
mainly straw swirling over our property, I got home and found out a bit more
and she reported to me, her description completely fits with a dust devil,
my front and back garden are both full of loose straw from the dumping we
got.

How interesting!!??

Any one else any ideas?

Cheers
Stephen

As an intro, I'd say that was, just possibly, not quite the best way to
engage our attention.

Indeed, as at that point I moved to the next unread post.

My teenage son insists that in Cambridge there is an alleyway called "Canal
Passage", irresistible to the paint-pot enthusiasts.

Probably was a dust devil. Not all that uncommon in dry sand areas or over
dusty stubble fields.

Do they not treach manners in the boating fraternity?

Perhaps you could apologise and try again, without the snide comments.

Manchester's gay area is centred around Canal Street. Usually the
street sign is partially spray painted to be 'anal 'treet.

I was going to mention it but I thought it wasn't very weather-related !
