No chance... 26 max in the SE.
I'm doubting the 'breakdown' . If there is, I think it will be minor and
return to high dominated stuff soon after... Maybe 30 degrees that week
(First week of August).

Hooray! My kids are back from India and I'm sure the cooler temperatures
will be a welcomed comfortable change.

I doubt even that - the high looks as if it may be over Scandinavia,
which would pull in winds from NE or E, rather than S or SE which we'd
need for very high temperatures.

It's been very humid here, John with a dew point of 14 degC and a
temperature of 26 degC. I think it was the lack of breeze that didn't help
when feeling sticky.
