Faro on Tuesday 37.6°C - Monday night min. 26.3°C http://weather.noaa.gov/weather/current/LPFR.html Interesting to see the marked effect on temperature and humidity of small shifts in the wind. 09z: 33°C and DP 6°C; 10z: 30°C and DP 16°C as the wind backs to WSW and presumably introduces air from over the sea. 16z: 32°C and DP 16°C; 17z: 36°C and DP 4°C as the wind veers to the NW again. Cordoba 40.6°C is the only station in Spain listed in the 18z SYNOPs to exceed 40°C on Tuesday. Perhaps Keith Harris near Alicante will be finding the heat more tolerable there - Alicante 31.6°C on Tuesday and Monday night minimum 20.0°C. Colin Youngs Brussels |
