Default Heat wave? What Heatwave?

Compared to the hot spell in July its been too chilly to eat out here the
past two evenings. No complaints though only too grateful were avoiding the
worst of this unbearable spell.

It was actually a bit chilly watering up tonight in T shirt and shorts, hard
to believe the rest of the world is sweltering out there. A good 10kt
easterly sea breeze at 1700

what colour is the sky in your world? It is MISERABLY hot here.

Have to resort to wearing odd clothes because they are comfortable.

When will it ever cease?

Have to agree. Here in SE London it's warm but there's a refreshing
easterly. I realise it's only a subjective remark, but it's not that
unbearable at present.
Wait till the recorders collate their data. I believe we'll see that there's
been a lot off media hype on this one.

Be grateful you aren't in Norfolk ;-) Did the shopping today and the highly
scientific reading (not) of my car external temperature sensor said 37C at
13:00 today.

Thanks Les, there are some very nice looking people on there who know a heck
of alot more about weather than I do! I have recently purchased a Oregon
Scientific weather station, and would love some advice.

Does anyone know if a raindance might help us in this heatwave?

Please feel free to visit one of my numerous sites as well.

I have a few more, but those should keep you entertained for a bit....

does the Oregon have a PC datalink? C'mon people some of you have Oregons -
you all know I have a Davis with a temperature sensor in the sun in the
morning....

if it does it's live data feed time..

As I've stated earlier in other threads the direct link rather than
uksevereweather.org.uk can get round some of the opaque, sorry, transparent
caching problems in BY - especially for the webcam, archive and davis stuff.

Well, I offered to dance nekkid around the trees by the stream at the end of
the garden, chanting strange chants, but my t'other half tells me it will scare
the neighbours. So if the heat continues, it's the fault of my husband.
