Default [WR] Haytor (no drought here)

Not much rain yesterday evening (29th), just 0.7 mm. Monthly total now 94.8 mm
so I will not reach the 100mm mark.

Ground still nicely damp below the surface and grass green and lush.

Compared to the Crowthorne desert where I used to live, gardening here is a
treat with no need to worry about watering. Veg. love the conditions.
Only problem is that the growing season starts much later than on the dry sandy
soil I had in Berkshire but at least things continue to grow well all summer.

If I could give you parched Se'erners some of my rain I would :-)

Fingers crossed for next week, but it is not looking too promising for those
that need rain.

Cheers,

Will.
