Alan,

Rossendale has had an incredible amount of rain from a thunderstorm that
developed and crept along the western side of the Pennines, from about
4:15pm until around 6:30pm. Rainfall total recorded 44.2mm for the
duration!!! Somewhere in the region MUST have experienced flash flooding.
After a slight respite it's started to rain again.

Hi Steve,
radar now shows a line of heavy rain extending from the severn estury to the
north of your location with embedded thunderstorms moving slowly NNW.
Lightning now getting more intense here with the rain getting lighter,
best regards,
Alan

Nothing of any great note here, some moderate/heavy rain earlier
this evening, what little thunder/lightning there was being undramatic.

Just started raining again and thunder seems nearer so the
chance of some action yet......
