about 12 miles south of oxford
Yesterday, between 15.00pm and 17.00pm. Thunder started at about 15.00 hrs. I go home at 15.15, as I was driving home(6 mile journey) I noticed the rain was very sporadic. Raining hard when I left work, then dry places, then wet again. Got home. Moderate rain, nothing very heavy, BUT some amazing and very frequent/loud thunder, and multiple lightning all around. lasted till about 17.00 hrs. Thought the power was going to go off at one stage(it held up though), as the lights kept flickering badly, and lost the signal to terrestrial TV for about 30 seconds(all 5 channels). Mike |
